DAY 1:AHMADABAD

Arrival in Ahmedabad, Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives of Compass Tourism welcome you and escort you to your car. As the room keys and check in are organized our executive would introduce the tour to you and hand over the documents to you. Check into the hotel and refresh. After leisurely lunch we proceed to LD Museum.
LD Museum :The Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum is museum of Indian Sculptures, Bronzes , Manuscripts , Paintings , Drawings , Miniature Paintings , Wood works , Bead works and coins. The wide ranging sculpture is unique , since all the major regional styles of the sub-continent are represented here on the Ground Floor . The outstanding pieces include the largest head of Buddha , the earliest cult image of Lord Rama , a rare figure of Matrika Indrani from Shamlaji , and some of the finest examples of Buddha images from Mathura, Nalanda, Nepal and Tibet.

DAY 2 : AHMEDABAD – VADNAGAR – TARANGA – SHAMLAJI AHMEDABAD

Early morning after Breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Shamlaji Via Vadnagar & Taranga. Enroute We will Visit BUDDHIST MONASTERY and TARANGA HILLS that located in Vadnagar and Taranga. After Visiting Vadnagar & Taranga our Executive will transfer you to Shamlaji. In Shamlaji we will visit DEV NI MORI that located in Shamlaji. In Evening depart for Ahmedabad, check in into hotel and overnight stay in Ahmedabad Hotel.Vadnagar Buddhist Monastery:
The recent excavations have brought to light a Buddhist Monastery belonging to the 2nd – 7th century AD, within the fortified area of Vadnagar. The monastery had two votive stupas and an open central court yard around which initially nine cells were constructed. The arrangement of cells around the central court yard creates a swastika-like pattern. The main idols enshrined in the Taranmata and Dharanmata temples are of Buddhist goddess Tara. Broken Teracotta images of Buddha, four carved images of Buddha, four carved images of Dhyani Buddha on a stone plate.
Dev Ni Mori:
The remains of a Buddhist monastery belonging to 3rd-4th century AD have been unearthed from DEVNI MORI. The presence of stupa and monastery has reconfirmed that during the early centuries of Christian Era, there had been strong presence of Buddhism in Vadnagar. Excavating of the stupa brought to light an inscribed casket which contains relics of Buddha.

DAY 3 :AHMEDABAD – VADODARA – BHARUCH VADODARA

Early Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Vadodara. On arrival at Vadodara visit MS University of vadodara. In MS University of vadodara , Department of Archaelogy has well maintained relics of Buddha which was found from the Buddhist sites of Dev Ni Mori in the Northern site of Gujarat.
After visiting Vadodara transfer to Bharuch to visit KADIYA DUNGAR, Bharuch. The group has seven caves carved out in 1st and 2nd century AD influenced by Buddhist Architecture. The site has brick stupa at the foot of mountain. Monolithic iron pillars are also present here. In Evening depart for Vadodara, Check in into hotel.

DAY 4 :VADODARA – TALAJA – SANA CAVES DIU

Early Morning after Breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Bhavnagar to visit TALAJA Hills, Bhavnagar. In Evening Transfer to Diu and check in into hotel.
Talaja Hills:
The 320 feet High serene town of Talaja on the banks of Shetrunji River has around 30 ancient Buddhist caves cut into the rocks, with perfectly identifiable carvings of Boddhisattva. The most impressive structure is the Ebhala Mandapa, a large hall with four octagonal pillars in the front
Sana Caves:
According to Historians, the construction of caves had started by the 2nd century BC in western india. The rock cut carving in sana caves includes 62 caves spread over the hills consisting stupas, chaityas, pillows and benches. The Halls of few caves are dome-shaped and pillared.

DAY 5 :DIU JUNAGADH

Early morning after breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Junagadh. On Arrival we shall depart for ASHOKA MAJOR ROCK EDICTS, Girnar, Junagadh. After Visiting Ashoka Edicts we shall transfer for BABA PYARA CAVES, Junagadh. In Evening transfer to Hotel, Check in into hotel.
Ashoka Major Edicts:
Ashoka`s Major Rock Edicts refer to 14 separate major Edicts of Ashoka. The inscriptions is inscribed high up on a large domed mass of blackgranite on Girnar, a collection of hills near the town. These many edicts, of which Ashoka`s Major Rock Edict was the first and most impressive, were concerned with practical instructions in running a kingdom such as design of irrigation systems and description s of Ashoka`s beliefs in peaceful moral behaviour. They contain little personal details about his life.
Baba Pyaare Caves:Baba Pyaara caves have been constructed in 1st to 2nd Century AD. In terms of architecture, the sprawling caves of Baba Pyaara, are not really caves. They represent sites carved out to provide facilities for the monks to live in. Carved in stone, this rooms were comfortable quarters for the practitioners of Buddhism. They date back to over 2000 years in history and have been important point of attraction for tourist, pilgrims, students and historian looking for information and resources for their studies.

DAY 6 :JUNAGADH – DHANK – KHMBHALIDA JAMNAGAR

Early morning after breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Rajkot to visit DHANK CAVES. After Visiting Dhank Caves We shall Depart for KHAMBALIDA CAVES located in Rajkot. In Evening Transfer to Jamnagar. Check in into Hotel.
Dhank caves :Dhank caves were carved in the 7th century AD and have a plain style of carving. This place is also known as Dhankgiri. This cave is influenced by Buddhist and Jain culture. The Buddhist cave includes figures of bodhisattva and Jain caves includes figures of Adinath, Shantinath, and Parsva.
Khambalida Caves :The cave is believed to have come into existence in the 4th and 5th century AD. It is said that they were built by Saint of Dinyan Branch of Buddha Tradition .It is also said that many buddhist saints from junagadh come to the caves for meditation, thanks to the underground route between them. There is an inscription on the stone here that shows Ashoka existed.There are total of three caves here, where the central one is called chaitya grih. It has a stupa and two sculptures. The cave on the right is named Bodhisatvas – Padmapani and the one on the left is named vajjrapani. The vajrapanni sculpture is one of the oldest sculpture in india.

DAY 7: : JAMNAGAR BHUJ

Early Morning After Breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Bhuj. On arrival Check in into hotel. In Afternoon you can take rest at hotel and in evening is free for your own activities. You can also visit local Market of Bhuj.

DAY 8:BHUJ – NAKHATRANA – LAKHPAT – NARAYAN SAROVER

Early Morning After Breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to SIYOT CAVES, Kutch that located in Lakhpat . In Evening transfer to Bhuj Via Narayan Sarover.
Siyot Caves :
This caves have their origin to the first century AD. It is also worth knowing that the caves have sanctum and an ambulatory which are east facing. The traces describe that Siyot Caves at the mouth of the Indus River, were one of the 80 monastic sites for Chinese pilgrims. A huge number of visitors came here to endure religious feelings, as it is a popular place acknowledged fo Buddhist footprints.
Narayan Sarovar :Narayan Sarovar is one of the most sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus.It is one of the five Holy ponds in india mentioned in Srimad Bhagvad. In this place there are vaishnav temples of Shri Trikamraiji , Laxminarayan , Dwarkanath, Adinarayan, Govardhanathji, Ranchodraiji , and Laxmiji. As per legend the Holy river Sarasvati had an outlet here which filled the lake of Narayan Sarovar which made it Holy.

DAY 9 : BHUJ – AHMEDABAD DROP

Early morning after breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Ahmedabad Airport/Railway station for your Onward Journey.
